Before we know it, the weekend of October 23rd will be coming so I thought it's time to give you the rundown and info about the weekend.
Some of you have already paid in full or paid your deposit. Full payment is due by October 15th. For those of you who have not yet paid, please reply by confirming a definite yes or no so that I have accurate numbers. I don't want to turn away others that may be interested in case you have changed your mind about attending :) At the moment, I have 18 ladies attending including myself. The limit is 20.
Although, this is mainly a scrapbooking retreat, you do not need to be a scrapbooker to attend. You can work on any other craft or hobby that you're interested in.
For a copy of the Itinerary and directions, email me at email@example.com. If there are meal items on the menu that may be a problem for you, such as allergies, etc., please let me know asap.
We'll be having some scrapbooking challenges and contests to keeps things exciting and there will be prizes! There will also be some product available for sale in case you need some supplies.
I'm really looking forward to the weekend and also meeting some of you!!!

Sorry for the delay getting this posted...Here is the layout that we'll be working on for September. The papers we'll be using are from the Twitterpated set . On these pages I have used 5 photos - 1-4x6, 1-6x4, 3-3x5's. Of course you can turn the pages around and do whatever you'd like to suit the photos you have. The colors used on these pages are: Chocolate, Sweet Leaf, Crystal Blue & Sorbet.

Here is my layout for the second challenge. Don't mind the same theme as the first challenge because it's another set of pages for my camping trip :) I'm trying to get my summer pics scrapbooked! Hope you get a chance to try this challenge! I'll post another tomorrow...

This is the layout that I created based on Challenge #1. I changed things up on the second page by using 3 photos instead of 4. I used a cool new program for the Cricut called "Sure Cuts A Lot" which allows you to cut the fonts and shapes on your computer without using cartridges. Very cool because you can download literally hundreds of free fonts. It was about $80 and worth every penny. I used the negative part of the cut for the title by placing it over the Cocoa cardstock. The contrast makes it stand out perfectly. (The actual tree that I cut from the title is on the 2nd page)
I know that one of you has told me you went ahead and tried the first challenge. Can't wait to see what you came up with. Hopefully more of you will be able to give one of these a try. I'll be posting Challenge #2 tomorrow.
