Keep Warm...

Hope you're all keeping warm in these frigid temperatures. We've been spoiled for so many weeks and now winter seems to have rushed here. My plan is to stay indoors as much as possible and try to get lots of scrapbooking done. Right now I'm working on finishing up pages that have been laying around incomplete for a while then I can start working on some new pages. Keep warm....

November Club Layout

For this month, we will be working on a Halloween Layout.  On these pages I used 14 pictures, most of them 2 1/4 x 2 1/4'.  When I get more flip flaps, I will be adding a couple extra 4x6 photos for a total of 16 pictures.  You can definitely use less which will allow you to see more of the color scheme.  These are not the best pictures of the layout because I took photos instead of scanning (computer problems again!)  The colors used on these pages are Twilight, Clover Meadow, Grey Wool, and Sunflower.

See you soon,
Angela

October Club Night Layout

Hi Everyone,

Here is the layout that we'll be working on this month.  You'll notice that I haven't put any photos on my pages.  That's because I'm going to be using these pages for my twin nephew's albums and I'll be taking the pictures when they come over this weekend.  I went with a Fall/Thanksgiving theme but you can do whatever you wish.  The papers we're using this month are from the Grace paper pack and the colors used on these pages are:  Barn Red, Cocoa, Honey & Twilight.  I have also used the "Delightful Things" and "Many Thanks" stamp sets.  As usual, I have used the Cricut to cut my title but this time I used the "Sure Cuts A-lot" software to cut a font from my computer.  Something you're welcome to try this month.

See you soon!

Challenge #2

Here is our new challenge for the week.  I know alot of you are pretty busy so hopefully you'll be able to relax and take some time for yourself and try this challenge.  Have a great week!

Sunday, August 23, 2009

This is the layout that I created based on Challenge #1. I changed things up on the second page by using 3 photos instead of 4. I used a cool new program for the Cricut called "Sure Cuts A Lot" which allows you to cut the fonts and shapes on your computer without using cartridges. Very cool because you can download literally hundreds of free fonts. It was about $80 and worth every penny. I used the negative part of the cut for the title by placing it over the Cocoa cardstock. The contrast makes it stand out perfectly. (The actual tree that I cut from the title is on the 2nd page)

I know that one of you has told me you went ahead and tried the first challenge. Can't wait to see what you came up with. Hopefully more of you will be able to give one of these a try. I'll be posting Challenge #2 tomorrow.

Challenge #1

Ok, Here is your first challenge...
Guidelines:
1.  Let's have FUN and get MORE scrapbooking done!
2.  You are free to play around with the layout, as long as we can identify it as the same layouts.  For example, change the papers, photo sizes, orientation, rotation of the pages, etc.
3.  Come on and jump in!  Don't worry if you don't have photos on your layout, or if it's past the week posted.

I can't wait to see what all of you create!  I'll be posting my creation here shortly...

Please post your finished pages for all to see...either scan them or take a photo with your camera :)

Time to get things rolling...

Well now that the holidays are pretty much over, I might actually have time to sit down and get this blog rolling.  My intended purpose for my blog is to help my fellow scrapbooking friends and customers get more scrapbooking done.  Some of you need to stop become collectors - You Know Who You Are - and use those supplies and get scrapping.

I'm going to be posting weekly challenges every Monday and I'm hoping you'll join in and post pictures of your layouts.

Stay tuned for Challenge #1 coming tomorrow...
