September 2010 Cub Layout - Family - September 9, 2010

Hi Everyone,

Here is the layout that we will be creating for our September club night. The papers that we are using are the new set called "Olivia". The colors used are Barn Red, Pear, Smoothie & Sunset - (the last 3 colors are New). This layout will also use the new "The Present" stamp set and some of the new embellishments. This is also a layout from the new How To book, Magic - the layout is called Charmed page 80-81. For these pages, I used 1 - 5x7, 2 - 4x6's (portrait - there is room for 3), and 2 - 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 photos. If you do not have Portrait photos, the pages can be turned to suit. If you look at the third photo of the pages, it's hard to tell in the picture but there are 2 spots - 1 where the 4x6 is and 1 where the 3x3 which is a flap you lift for more photos, journalling etc..

I look forward to creating these pages with you....

Graduation Album - May 30, 2010

I decided to make my niece a graduation album at the very last minute - 3 days before graduation :O, and in the end with very little time to spare, I ended up getting it done in 3 hours the night before her graduation!!! If I had a little more time I would have added a bit more but I'm happy with the way it turned out. My niece loved it too.
I matched the colors of the pages to her dress and the second and third page matched the colors of her cap & gown. In a few weeks, we're going to get together and I'm going to help her add her photos to the album.
Thanks Wendy for the idea of the Autograph pages. I actually made two of them which some family and friends wrote messages to her. I think it's a great idea and keepsake for her to look back on in the years ahead!

It's Been Awhile....

Hi Everyone,

I apologize, it's been quite a while since I've updated my blog. It's been a busy March/April as I had a crafting Retreat on the weekend of March 19th and then a couple of days later, left on vacation to Costa Rica for a couple of weeks. The holiday was absolutely awesome and I have many photos to scrapbook!!!

I have done some scrapbooking since my last post so I have several layouts to upload. I haven't forgotten about the Challenge 2010 and will hopefully be getting lots of pages done in the next couple of weeks.

I'll start with our Club Layout for April 2010. The papers we are using this month are from the "Bella" paper pack. The main colors used in this layout are Olive, Smokey Plum, Cocoa, Desert Sand, Creme Brulee and Hollyhock. The B&T pages are two sided and on the reverse side you'll see the Hollyhock which you won't see much of on my layout because I've scrapbooked the photos of my Nephews. Even though the papers are floral, I think they still work for boys. I have used 4 portrait 4x6's but you can change it up or also rotate the pages if you want to use landscape photos.

Challenge 2010 - 17 Layouts Done...93 Layouts to go...

The next 8 pages are layouts that I worked on at the Spring Retreat that I hosted at Teen Time. There were a variety of craftings going on. From knitting to quilting to card making and of course, scrapbooking!

Prairie Gardens - These are photos/pages of my son's Grade 3 field trip to Prairie Gardens out by Bon Accord this past October.

Patterned papers: Three Bugs in a Rug Autumn papers, Close To My Heart cardstock & Flip Flaps.
Challenge 2010 - 21 Layouts Done...89 Layouts to go...

Mamma Mia Letsa Go - These were really fun pages to do. This is from my youngest sons, Ethan, 9th birthday party from last month. We had a Super Mario Bros theme which has great bright colors. It all started with the Ticket style invitation which I "lifted" from the net and created in Photoshop.

Supplies: Patterned paper, brads, & cardstock, Close To My Heart. Used the Animal Cookies paper pack.
Challenge 2010: 25 Layouts Done...85 to go...

The next four pages are layouts that I've done for 2 albums I'm working on for my twin nephews' first birthday which is coming up at the end of April :O. You're probably going to see alot of them the next couple of weeks. I don't think my sister knows I have a blog so hopefully she doesn't see this!!!
The theme, as you've probably noticed, is Canada's Olympic games. The first two pages are for Nathan's album and the last two are for Zachary. You'll see one of the same picture on both layouts but I corrected it after I took photos of the pages. Sometimes they are hard to tell apart and I had some photos mixed up!

Supplies: Provocraft Canada Paper Kit, Close to my Heart Cardstock, buttons.
